Certified Instructor Course (CIC)

Dog Training & Behaviour

This course is designed for overseas students wishing to become qualified dog trainers/instructors. With over 139 hours of practical training included, student trainers will learn to handle, care, and train a variety of dogs during this intensive program. Only students who are prepared to work hard should apply as places are limited.

Uniforms and Equipment

Students will be provided with a short sleeve polo top, cap and name badge as well as a Basic Trainers Kit consisting of training leash, head halter, correction collar, soft training collar, rope tug toy, treat pouch, treats and clicker. However, as it is a basic trainer's kit, students will be required to supplement their personal kit with extra training aids once they commence practical training of dogs at Blue Cross Animal shelter. DTA subsidises these purchases with a 20% discount.

All Modules will be conducted at Command Dog Training School's office - 19 Jeffery Street, Blackburn, Vic. 3130

Please bring with you: Writing materials ie. clipboard, pen, paper. You will be given session notes but are encouraged to take your own notes where necessary.
