Victorian Fair Trading Awards for excellence in customer service.
The
1999 Victorian Fair Trading Awards were launched by the Attorney-General
on Monday, 15 March 1999 at retail breakfast at the Grand Hyatt
Melbourne.
ABOUT
THE AWARDS
The
Victorian Fair Trading Awards, an initiative of the Office of Fair
Trading & Business Affairs, publicly recognise businesses for
excellence in customer service. The Victorian Fair Trading Awards,
are sponsored by the Australian Retailers Association - Victoria
and are supported by the Rotary Districts of Victoria, Seniors Card,
Ten Victoria, HIA, VACC, REIV, Internet Names Australia and Coles
Supermarkets.
Now
in their fifth year, the Victorian Fair Trading Awards form part
of the Victorian Good Business Program, established to educate traders
on their rights and responsibilities and to encourage a fairer trading
environment.
The
Fair Trading Awards for 1999, were presented at a gala reception
at the Regent Theatre on 22 September.
In
announcing the winners of the Metropolitan Awards, the Director
of the Office of Fair Trading and Business Affairs, Ms Jane Reynolds,
said this year's entrants had been of a particularly high calibre.
"The
judges were faced with the very difficult task of choosing an overall
winner from a quality field of entrants," Ms Reynolds said.
"The
winners are clearly committed to providing Victorians with outstanding
customer service and complaints handling procedures."
Command
Dog Training School was voted the Service and Manufacturing Industry
Winner (1-5 employees) for excellence in customer service.
It
is the only professional dog training school to have done so in
the industry.
